About

We design private trips across the Philippines

A small team in Manila and the US, with fifteen years of relationships you won’t find anywhere else.

Every trip built around you, down to the detail.

How We Got Here

Started in 2010.

Built around one idea

Angely Dub started Access Travel at 19, before she’d seen most of the world. By the time she’d traveled to 150 countries, one thing was clear: nobody was selling the Philippines the way it deserved to be sold.

The country had the beaches, the heritage, the food, and the people. What it didn’t have was someone treating travelers the way the best operators in Italy or Japan or Kenya were treating theirs.

So in 2024, we launched Explora Ahora to do exactly that with same team and same standards.

Our goal is to give you the best experience in the Philippines and across Asia.

The Team

How we work

Five things that won't change

  1. 01

Every trip is built from scratch

We don’t have packages. We have a country, and we build from there.

  2. 02

We’ve stayed everywhere we send you

Every hotel, lodge, and resort on your itinerary is somewhere we’ve personally been. If we haven’t, we don’t put it in.

  3. 03

Your guide isn’t a tour guide

We work with people whose families have lived where you’re visiting for generations. They’re not reading from a script.

  4. 04

    Pricing is transparent

You’ll see what each piece of your trip costs. No markup hidden in mystery. No surprises in your inbox after.

  5. 05

Someone is on the phone 24/7

The Manila team is reachable any hour of any day, throughout your trip.

What a trip looks like

A few examples

We don’t sell packages, but here’s the kind of trip we build.

Turquoise lagoon with boats surrounded by steep limestone cliffs and lush green foliage.
10 days • first-timers
Simple drawing of an island with a palm tree, two small plants, and waves around it.

An island trip

Manila for two nights to land properly. Then Palawan for the lagoons, Coron for the wrecks, and Siargao to slow down. Private boats, the right hotels, no internal flights you don’t need.

Cobblestone street flanked by old colonial buildings with a horse-drawn carriage in the center.
7 days • been before
Icon of a heritage building with towers, an arched entrance, and clock on the central tower.

Food and heritage

Vigan and Ilocos for the colonial towns and the longganisa. Pampanga for the food the rest of the country quietly admits is the best. A night in Manila in the kind of bar most travelers never find.

Ancient stone bell tower overgrown with plants and a volcanic mountain and clouds in the background.
14 days • once and right
Simple line drawing of mountains with a sun and small clouds in the sky.

The everything trip

Manila, then north to the Cordilleras, then south to the islands. Private guides, private boats, hotels we’d send our own families to. The version of the trip we’d take if we were you.

Build your version
Collage with Philippines stamp, man playing guitar on beach, groups of children, and man with carabao outdoors.

Beyond the trip

Selling a country to travelers is a serious thing

So we try to do it intentionally

We work with local guides directly, not through third-party agencies. We send guests to family-run accommodations alongside the bigger hotels. We support communities in the destinations we work in regularly, through partnerships and the way we structure trips, not through a separate "CSR program."

It's not advocacy as marketing. It's just how a Filipino-founded company should operate when its product is its own country.

How we work with local communities
